Train with intent. Film what matters.

Practice a drill, record a clip, and review the feedback. Use what you learn to choose a focus for your next session.

Drill. Review. Study.

Use drills to practice a shot, film to review it, and lessons to study the technique.

Five dimensions. Four aces. One coach.

Connor teaches every shot through five dimensions and four aces. Your Shot Vision cues use the same words.

The 5 dimensions

  1. 01

    Contact Location

Where on the paddle the ball is struck, and where in space the contact happens relative to the body.

  2. 02

    Body Position

How the body moves into the shot: through the ball vs. away from it.

  3. 03

    Shot Location

Where the shot lands on the other side of the net: the outcome, not the mechanics.

  4. 04

    Muscle Groups

Whether power comes from the larger chain (legs, hips, core, shoulder) or from the smaller links (wrist, elbow).

  5. 05

    Tempo

The rhythm of the swing: a short pause or slowdown at the back vs. a hectic, rushed motion.

The 4 aces

Paddle Face

The paddle face is correct at contact: angle, orientation, and contact point on the paddle.

Base Going Through the Ball

The body's base (feet, hips, core) drives through the ball, not away from it.

Space Away from the Ball

Enough space is created between the body and the ball to swing freely: not cramped, not reaching.

Pace

The rhythm and speed of the swing fits the shot: controlled, with a settle at the back rather than hectic.

Each ace combines several dimensions. Use them as a framework for practice. Personalized ace grades are not currently included in Shot Vision reports.
